The great thing about being in the acting business is getting the chance to dress up and be photographed as different characters. For the June 2011 issue of W magazine, Tim Walker photographed Scarlett Johansson to pay a tribute to classic film icons: Buster Keaton, Marlene Dietrich & Giulietta Masina.
Tim Walker is definitely one of my favorite photographers. His work is whimsical yet dark in all the right places... sounds like I'm describing a dress. From the viewers perspective, his work has a range, sometimes focusing on wardrobe/make-up/hair, to creating a whimsical world that you can't take your eyes off of. Walker is a British photographer based in the UK, though he travels often. His work is mainly featured in W and Vogue.
